Filipino Pride Among Youth

Our daughter, Zara, chose to celebrate at her 8th grade graduation dance in a Filipiniana ensemble. This was fully her choice without us or anyone planting the idea. We felt immense happiness and pride in her. This proud young Filipina also started the first Asian American Islander Club at her middle school.
